The sale started with a bang with Lot 1, a 2 year old strawberry roan Blagdon cob filly to make 14.2hh from D Barnes, Cowling selling for 5500gns; the same home also selling Lot 2, a 3 year old black cob filly at 2000gns.

However, the sale was topped by Lot 75 from regular consignor Charlie Anderson, Carrutherstown who sold the stunning homebred Kirkstyle Roma, a 3 year old silver dapple filly with looks and temperament to match at 8800gns. He also sold Lot 79, Blackrigg Misty another stunning dapple grey 14.1hh cob filly, broken to drive at 5200gns.
Other regular consignors of quality horses G&R Dunn sold Waunoris The Mad Hatter, a 3 year old blue and white, 15.3hh part bred Welsh cob gelding for 4800gns. John Smith sold a gypsy cob mare at 3600gns and local owner A Hayton sold her 14.2hh piebald cob mare at 3400gns.
A&SG Butterfield of the renowned Hermits Stud sold Hermits Cherrylicious, a yearling cob filly at 3000gns, C Caven sold Sid, a 3 year old gelding and RJ&YL Willison sold Harry a 2 year old bay cob gelding at 3000gns.
Shetlands again sold well, topping at 2000gns for Quarrygrie Aria a tiny bay roan dun registered miniature yearling filly, the same home also selling Bayview First Dawn, a 4 year old 39” black registered Standard at 1700gns. Halstock Confetti, a 14 year old blue roan registered miniature, in-foal for 2027 at 1200gns. Stepley Spritz, an 11 year old registered black Shetland mare also sold for 1200gns.
Donkeys were popular in the sale, selling at 800gns for Zara, 600gns for Molly and 550gns for Milly, all yearling jennys from B Mather.
