Pay scale:£35,000 – £45,000 negotiable with experience. Potential for performance-related bonus.
About the Venue:We offer the most extensive exhibition and conference facilities in Cumbria. Our site is easy access, just off J36 of the M6 Motorway.
The Role:You will be responsible for the seamless operation and strategic expansion of our popular exhibition hall and meeting room spaces. Your key responsibilities will include:• Operational Excellence: Overseeing the day-to-day management of all meeting rooms and exhibition hall activities, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and a smooth user experience.• Event Delivery & Growth: Actively seeking out and securing new bookings for a diverse range of events, from conferences and trade shows to community gatherings and creative activities.• Strategic Expansion: Developing and implementing innovative strategies to significantly increase the utilisation and profitability of our spaces. This includes exploring unexpected and creative uses for our facilities.• Promotion & Marketing: Leading the promotion of the J36 Exhibition Hall across a wide geographical area, leveraging social media, digital marketing, and traditional channels to raise our profile and attract new clients.• Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and cultivating new partnerships to ensure repeat business and a growing client base.• Team Leadership: Inspiring and managing a small team to deliver outstanding service and support event success.• Financial Management: Contributing to budget planning and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
About You:We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented manager with:• Proven experience in venue management, event management, or a similar hospitality role.• A strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.• Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.• A creative and innovative mindset, open to exploring new ideas and opportunities.• Proficiency in social media and digital marketing strategies.• A track record of building and maintaining excellent client relationships.• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.• The ability to work with multiple interests across the site and within the business group (from a highly successful auction house and auction mart, to the on-site café and multiple tenants).What We Offer:
