J36 Crooklands Livestock Auction: J36 Fortnightly Sale of Store Lambs, Thursday 14th August 2025.

Averages increase by £21 on the year at Junction 36 ever growing store lamb sale, with an overall average of £109.77 achieved for a show of lambs from all ends of the spectrum. The sale topped at £161 for Suffolks from H Wilson, Ashstead, with other Suffolks to £140 from PJ Atkinson, Witherslack, many other pens £125 plus and all Suffolks today averaging £112.23. Texels were a nice trade topping at £150 from NP&CE Buckley, Fairbank, £148 B Wilson, Ashstead, £146 GM Strong, Maulds Meaburn and averaged £114.32 for 1851 Texels sold. Mules are now coming forward in greater numbers, with 633 of these selling to average £102.70 and topping this time out at £136 from I&J Mallinson, Selside.
