Lancasters annual show and sale of Mule gimmer lambs once again attracted a fantastic entry of 1030 local lambs from the Lancashire fells, with credit going to all vendors for a marvellous show. 34 active buying accounts ensured all types of sheep were bid for, with a sale average of £158.70 achieved.
The pre sale show was kindly judged by David Preston, Caton and Robert Falshaw, Gisburn who we thank for their time and expertise this morning. The sale peaked at £250 for the first prize pen of ten from Drinkall Bros with other pens of ten to £220 from W&A Cornall and WI&AM Atkinson. £200 was achieved for ten from B&SE Carter and for the first prize pen of twenty from W&A Cornall.
