The closing sale of Store Hoggs at Junction 36 saw an entry of 500 forward, selling to a strong demand.

Many vendors bringing in their final consignments of hoggs for the season, with everyone very satisfied with the flying trade.Topping the market at £87 were a pen of 19 Texel Hoggs forward from AT Threlkeld Ltd of Satterthwaite, followed at £85 twice also for Texel’s from J&PR Woof of Dent and B&D Willison & Son of Levens.
Mule Hoggs selling continually to a strong trade, to a top of £84 from JR Senior of Cartmel Road, followed at £77 twice from WT&EM Townley & Son of Higher Westhouse and Coward Bros of Kirkby in Furness. Horned Hoggs selling to a top of £60 for Herdwicks from JR Senior, followed by Rough Fells at £51 from GC&GW Taylor of Crook and Swaledales to £49 from Messrs Hodgson of Windermere.
