Spring Lambs
A smaller entry of prime lambs forward this morning saw well finished lambs in strong demand with those feeding concentrates to there certainly paying this morning. Heavy weigh Texel lambs sold to a top of £92.50 from J &R Waller from Hallbeck with plenty well finished lambs in the late forties selling into the eighties. The busiest ring side of buyers for some time at Lancaster saw lambs sell to an overall market average of 167ppk. More hill lambs forward today saw mule wether lambs sell to £76 from W & A Cornall of Bank Farm with Masham lambs from E & N Wright of Allcocks selling to £76

Cast Sheep
A strong cast ewe trade today with all buyers keen and all pens of ewes eagerly bid for. Texel ewes sold to a top of £77 from JM & MH France & Son of Newhouse Farm with mule ewes selling to £76 from DH Patel of Lancaster. Strong mule ewes sold regularly into the late sixties.
