NWA saw over 2,000 store lambs sell to a packed ringside of buyers from as far afield as Hereford and Somerset with many buyers leaving empty handed.

All classes of lambs sold to a much improved trade, averaging £57.21. Best continentals sold to £68 from Ashton Agriculture Ltd with short keep lambs generally £62-£67. Medium keep lambs £57-£60 with smaller long keep lambs £48-£55.

Mules sold to £57 from W Caley & Son and Messrs Holden Partnership, with all Mules averaging £54. Cheviots reached £59 from J R Handley, with others at £55.50. Horned lambs reached £50.50 from M W Parsley.

Next sale is Thursday 31st October.
