Store Cattle continue to sell to the recent high prices with Lim x steers £905 from Coward Brothers; Black & whites £860 with younger stores £680 from D Bateman.

Rearing calves sold to £140 for young Angus x bulls from Messrs Wilson with dairy bulls making up the majority of the sale, selling to £62 from A E & M Hayhurst and £60 from Messrs Robinson.

Cast/OTM cattle sold to 169p/kg for Lim x from B L Swindlehurst with dairy bred cows to 131p/kg from J J & M A Park & son. All cows sold averaged 111.5p/kg with more needed to meet buyers demand.

A seasonal entry of Store Hoggs sold to prices reflecting the national prime hogg trade, topping at £47.50 for Texels from R & A C Harper. Continental lambs £40/£45. Smaller, long keep lambs £25/£35.
