Prime Lambs
A very similar number forward to last Tuesday and in line with other centres trade was easier on the day. Top price per head went to EA Harrison, Scarside at £89 for a Texel lamb weighing 48kgs and purchased by Andrew Atkinson. 32 to 39 kilo lambs looked the best trade per kilo with the top price being taken by

R & B Parker, High Hallbeck for a pen of 4 Texels at 39kgs making 204p/kg selling to Jim Hadwin for £79.50 per head.

Cast Sheep
A few more sheep forward with the overall average slightly less than the previous week. Top price per head of £137 went to D & J & A Freeman, Town End for two Texel tups. Ewes topped at £110 for a pen of 4 Continentals from TJ Winder, Gaisgill Row. Mule ewes regularly selling between £70-£80.
