A larger entry of Prime Hoggs forward this week at Lancaster with an overall average of 194p/kg. Cast Ewes continue to be a good trade with big continental ewes selling for over £100. Mules and Masham ewes that were well fleshed sold easily in to the £90+. Horned ewes in the £60+. The day’s trade was topped at £134 for Charollais ewes from J A & R Geldard.

In the Prime Bull ring, bulls averaged 176p/kg for all classes of bulls. These were topped at 207.5p/kg for a cracking Limousin bull from Clark & Johnson, Far Orrest which was sold to Bowland Foods Ltd.
