STORE LAMB PRICES ON THE UP AT KENDAL

There were 1400 store lambs of all breeds at Kendal last Thursday. All classes saw a rising trade on the previous sale with buyers from throughout the North of England noticeably keener. Many vendors are now getting through their lambs and overall the size of lambs on offer was smaller. A top price of £59 went to I & ME Askew, Raw Head for a pen of Suffolk lambs. Mules were good to sell topping at £56.50 to D Woof, High Wardses. It was also good to see plenty of small pure bred Hill wethers in the mid £30’s.

Please note there will be a sale of store lambs next Thursday 22nd November following the sale of Rearing Calves, Cast Cows & Store Cattle and fortnightly thereafter. Please advise entries.
