North West Auctions Lancaster Mart held their Annual Prize Show & Sale of 2,300 Gimmer Lambs last Wednesday.

Trade for all lambs was very good throughout the sale. The sale averaged more than £88 per head which was very much in line with other marketing centres. Once again lambs were destined to travel to all parts of the country with both regular and new buyers in attendance.

Show judging was in the very capable hands of Mr Graeme Jackson of Bentham who award the championship to the first prize pen of 10 Mule Gimmers from JJ & D Huddleston, Over Houses.
