On Saturday 26th September, North West Auctions conducted the farm machinery sale on behalf of Mr John Harrison, Greenways Farm, Forton which saw buyers in attendance from throughout the Northern Counties, Scotland and Wales, alongside strong local support all keen to support the sale.
The tractors attracted competitive bidding and saw a John Deere 5090m with 3200 hours sell for a final bid of £19,600 and a John Deere 6010 with loader sell at £12,600. A Kramer 1245 Loadall achieved £19,800 and the Hitachi EX45 tracked digger sold at £9200.
The livestock equipment saw a Shelbourne Reynolds Powermix achieve £2450, 4T Collinson feed bin £1520, Ifor Williams livestock trailer £1380, portable cubicles £100 each, cattle foot trimming crush £520, lamb weigh scales £460 and calf trailer £380.
Farm machinery saw a 12ft land roller achieve £2800, McConnell hedge cutter £1750, Hi-Spec tanker £1550, Primix slurry stirrer £1220, Claaas tedder £900, Teagle fert Spinner £800 and a Howard rotavator £600.
Other items of interest included a PTO drain jetter selling at £1300, mole plough £520, PTO generator £460, turkey plucking machine £280, 4 cast iron wheels £240, cast iron pig trough £80, oak beams £80, stone gate posts £70.
