Lancaster Livestock Auction: Dairy Cattle - Tuesday 17th March

A decent catalogued entry of dairy on offer today met an excellent demand with several new faces around the ringside. The cows on offer averaged £2026.67 and heifers averaged £1873.

Todays judge Mr Thomas Ayrton, Thurnham found his Champion in Messrs EH & R Eccles, Denhamhill Jareb Daisy. She was sired by Hartline Jareb, fittingly, this lovely heifer went home with the judge at £2550.

The reserve Champion Bilsrow Cayman Galorie sired by Co-op Stoic Cayman, this second calver made £2100 to the Ayrton Family.

Messrs Stainton Hill Farms sold Stainhill Whatsapp Silvia, sired by Flevo Genetics Whatsapp ET at £2100 to Messrs Crosier.

Messrs Forshaw & Sons made it a hattrick when purchasing three lovely heifers from the Sweetings Herd of Messrs Lawson Farm Ltd at £2080, £2020 and £1850.

Messrs Rudd & Sons purchased a lovely 2nd calver from Messrs Lawson at £2000 sired by Pine Tree Truth.

Messrs Tomlinson Bilsrow Ltd were back in the action selling a Matcrest Chamber daughter at £2000.

Messrs Nelson & Son purchased a lovely heifer from the famous Vaakje family and sired by Croteau Lesperron Unix, the hammer fell at £2000.
