There was another excellent entry on offer in North West Auctions, Lancaster monthly dairy sale and as usual the quality was of the highest standard.
Today’s judge was Lancaster regular Graham Bradley of Bradley Farms who found both his Champion and Reserve Champion in an outstanding line up from the Drinkall Bros, Over Wyresdale. The champion being a tremendous Morning View Aftershock daughter and from the famous Pennine Poppy family at £2550.00; this tremendous heifer returned home with the judge.
A stunning red and white heifer from the herd of Messrs J Burrow & Son also made £2550. This heifer, Stardale Apprentice Jodie Red by Endco Apprentice, was the choice of Mr A Bargh.
Messrs C & J Smith, St Michaels sold Inspired Molly sired by TOC-Farm Fitz out of the Molly family. She made £2400 to Messrs JA Greenhalgh & Son. The Welsh made their presence felt and were multi buyers of quality cattle taking Pennine Peace by Larcrest Cancun at £2300 to Dyfig Davies, Camarthan. Joining her on the lorry this time was the choice of Mr E Thomas also of Carmarthen, Bilsrow Grafeeti Olympia by Ladys-Manor Rd Graffeeti; the hammer finally falling at £2150. Dyfig Davies was back in the action to take Messrs EH & R Eccles Denhamhill Sensation Avril by Bidlea Sensation at £2150.
Making £2100 was J Burrow & Son with Stardale Aftershock Stella by Morning View Aftershock. She again went on the lorry to Carmarthan with Mr K Thomas.
The Drinkall family also sold Pennine Canary, a Cogent Supershot daughter; this heifer making £2100 to Bradley Farms.
The Eccles family were back in action selling a brace at £2050. Firstly Denhamhill Sensation Jenny selling to Dyfig Davies, Carmarthen and Denhanhill Oak Kitty selling to Messrs Rudd, Cumbria.
