Prime Lambs

The weekly sale of Prime Lambs had a smaller entry forward of just short of 300 which saw less demand ringside due to the festival. Leading the way today was Beltex lambs from S Bosworth, Burnley selling to £93 Texel lambs sold to £86 or 200p/kg from TR Prickett, Hutton Roof with others from the same home selling to £85.50. Plenty more Beltex and Texel lambs sold around the £80 mark. There was an overall market average of 170p/kg.

Cast Sheep

There was a smaller entry of cast sheep forward this week with many sheep already being sold over the previous weeks to catch the festival trade. Texel ewes sold to a top of £80 from TR Prickett, Hutton Roof with Swaledale ewes selling to £37 from PD Pye, Over Wyresdale.
