A keen interest in all classes of store hoggs, saw an overall average of £89 achieved with many vendors showing their last draw of the season. Strongest well bred hoggs were in exceptionally strong demand, selling to £145 for Texel cross from AT Threlkeld, Ulverston. Others sold to £130 from G GU&D Swarbrick, Meathop with full pens regularly £118 to £122. Longer keep pure bred lambs sold to £127 for Beltexs from T Crosdale, Clapham who also others at £119. Others were regularly £95 to £108. Medium keep cross breds were regularly £94 to £108, with longer keep hoggs £75 to £86, depending on quality and type. Mules sold to £111 for a full pen from J Brown, Ambleside and £105 from AT Threlkeld, Ulverston. A ring full of Mules achieved £104 from T Longton & Son, Quernmore. Medium Mules were frequently £86 to £94. Hill bred Hoggs sold to £88 for Gritstone from M&G German, Middleton with Herdwicks to £84 from Messrs Hodgson, Ambleside. Swaledales sold to £80 from GM Strong, Penrith, Dalesbred to £79 from RI Dixon, Grange Over Sands and Cheviot to £78 from J Brown, Hawkshead.
