The final sale of store hoggs of the season at J36 had a much-reduced entry as to be expected due to the current circumstances. The trade was subdued following the sharp drop in the prime hogg trade and uncertainty in the upcoming weeks. The trade peaked at £70 for Texel hoggs from PG Thornton, Scorton with others from the same home selling to £65. Mule hoggs sold to £61 from JF Cook, Witherslack whom sold Leicesters to £59.
A big thank you to our buyers and vendors for the support throughout the store lamb and hogg season which has seen record numbers forward and the most ever sold in one season. We look forward to the next season and hope to continue to grow the sale.
