Thursday 17th December 2020

North West Auctions’ weekly sale of Store Lambs had an entry of 1803. There was a full spectrum of lambs forward selling from £1 to £90 as to be expected at this time of year. The overall market average for lambs was £65.48.

The trade was sharper than expected as many people are cautious with the upcoming uncertainty of Brexit and the current weather. With plenty of pens of short keep Continental and Texel lambs easily selling into the 80s. Continental and Texel store lambs that will be ready in February and March often selling either side of the £70 mark, however with long term lambs trade depended very much on the quality of the lambs.
