Despite the poor weather conditions during the build-up to the sale, another large entry in excess of 1000 lots were offered for sale, with a large crowd of buyers in attendance.
Livestock equipment sold to £1100 for a cattle weigh crush, Portequip sheep feed trailers £850, automatic Milk Maid £700, foot trimming crush £480, sheep snacker £340 and sheep shedding race £270. Farm machinery saw a Major tanker sell for £3000, JCB bucket £680, 7ft bucket £400, slurry tanker £300, shear grab £285, PTO £220. A large number of trailers were forward and sold to £1900 for a 16ft flatbed Ifor Williams Trailer, Ifor Williams DP10 livestock trailer £1900, 20ft flatbed bale trailer £1000, 3t tipping trailer £700, quad trailer £480 and a plant trailer £290. Other items of interest included a 4WD dumper achieving £1000, International 475 tractor (spares or repair) £550, pan mixer £520, cardboard baler £500, tyre changing machine £350, trailer axels £250 and concrete panels £200.
A large entry of inside items sold to £180 for a wacker plate, £170 pressure washer, £170 compressor, space heater £160, lawn mowers £130, welders £130, wood planer £100 and firewood £52/bag. Small bales of meadow hay sold for £5/bale.

Poultry
A smaller entry of poultry forward on Saturday 2nd February but being a very popular sale once again. The sale topped at £100 for 3 Gold Silkies from I Borrowdale, Carlisle. It was nice to have a few cages of Old English Game gingers in today, topping at £85 from P Medcalf, Endmoor. E Parker’s run of poultry were very well sought after again topping at £75 for 3 Maran pullets.
