Store Cattle

The autumn show and sale of 450 Store Cattle attracted buyers from throughout the northern counties and midlands, who were all keen to procure stock from noted area. The pre-sale show was judged by Mr F Towers, who had an outstanding show cattle put before him in all classes. The champion rosette, after much deliberation, was awarded to the first prize, 16 month old, British Blue Bullock from MA & JA Winn, High Underbrow, which later sold for day’s top price of £1270, to the judge. Today’s reserve champion was the first Prize, 14 month old, British Blue Heifer, also from MA & JA Winn, which sold for £1200. All vendors must be complimented on the quality of cattle forward at the sale today.
