Lancaster dairy sale to £2550

A tremendous catalogued entry for this months Christmas Show & Sale with the average levelling at £1829.76 for heifers and £1773.33 for cows.

Leading the way today was an outstanding heifer from Lancaster’s regular vendor Messrs MJ & H Atkinson, which was fittingly Champion in the pre-sale classes under Judge David Wannop. The heifer, Wyredale Nailed It Aster, made £2550 selling to the judge.

A tremendous run of heifers from Messrs J Burrow & Son, Stardale took the next two top prices firstly selling £2450 was Stardale R8 Vaakje to Mr A Bargh and then Welsh buyer Mr E Thomas, Carmathern purchased Stardale Fransisco Vaakje for £2250.

Messrs Wannop Farms also purchased Denhamhill Marlly Daisy 3 from Messrs EH & R Eccles at £2250.

Drinkall Bros sold Pennine Poppy 1436 at £2150 to Messrs RK & C Rudd & Son. Messrs B & MJ Nelson & Son went to £2050 for Pennine Bolivia.
