Prime Lambs

The weekly sale of Prime Lambs had an entry of 500 forward for the sale, which sold to a sticky trade averaging 160p/kg. The trade was topped at £80 for Texel Lambs from M & L Preece, Kirkby Lonsdale with other Texel lambs selling to £78 from R & B Parker, Killington. Beltex lamb trade topped at £78 from Mrs JA Simpson, Barnacre. The trade saw majority of pens of Suffolk and Continental lambs selling in the region of £30 above their weight.

Cast Sheep

A smaller entry of cast ewes forward today sold to a top of £84 for Texel Ewes from A & E Clarkson, Thurnham, with Texel tups selling to £80 from the same good home and others to £77 from WM Pye, Ashton with Stodday.
