North West Auctions held its popular online monthly collective sale of farm machinery, tools and equipment, which saw both buyers and sellers travelling from all four corners of the UK along with several lots heading over the water to Ireland and Europe to well established clients.
A Massey Ferguson 390 4WD tractor c/w powered loader direct from a local farm attracted much interest selling to a local purchaser at £14,000. Other tractors this sale included a Valmet 405 4WD tractor achieving £5300 and a John Deere 3040 4WD selling at £4700. Several plant vehicles were again easily sold with a JCB 8014 tracked digger (non runner) selling at £4500, a JCB Work Max UTV sold at £3600, and a Thwaites 4WD dumper £3200, a Bobcat 313 Skid Steer achieved £2500.
46 trailers of all shapes and sizes were offered for sale with a total clearance achieved. Plant trailers sold to £3600 for a 14 foot Bateson, with another at £2500 for a 20 foot Graham Edwards flatbed. Car transport trailers sold to £1750, with other smaller trailers selling to £1100. Livestock trailers sold to £3300 for a 21 foot trailer with Houghtons box. Ifor Williams trailers sold to £1350 for 12 foot, £1300 for 8 foot and £1100 for 10 foot. Calf trailers achieved a top price of £1050 with others at £960. Agricultural trailers sold to £3400 for a 10 tone Silage trailer, £2600 for a Marshall 6 tone dump trailer, £1850 for a 10 tone BWA trailer and £1550 Wooten 10 tone trailer.
National interest in agricultural machinery saw well maintained items attract competitive bidding with seasonal items selling at an optimum.
An Abbey tanker archived £5800, Lely tedder £3000, Opic seeder / harrows £2700, Brown Splitter £2500, Marshall Spreader £2000, Amazon Fert Spinner £1000, Land Roller £880, Mounted Harrows £700.
Livestock equipment sold to £1550 for 623 foot sheep feed barriers, sheep shower £1400, lamb creep feeder £480, £320 milk cart, cattle feed barriers £280 and Hay racks £240.
Other items of interest included a camping pod at £2700, Mitsubishi Shogun £1900, Honda quad £1300, mobile fuel tank £1200, Kverneland plough £960, slurry pump £860, Massey Fergusson loader £760 and tractor weights £680.
North West Auction will host the dispersal sale of farm machinery and livestock equipment on behalf of JK&A Bowness & Son on Saturday 26th March. The sale will be a live auction format held at J36, with an online bidding facility also available.
The delivery days for the April collective sale of machinery are Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th March.
