North West Auctions held its final collective machinery sale of the year on Monday 6th December which again saw over 1000 lots offered for sale, which included 26 vehicles, 42 trailers and over 150 lots of livestock equipment.
The sale saw tractors sell to £10,700 for a Sam 100.6 4WD direct from a local farm and finding a new home in Ireland. A ford 3600 (ex scarper) sold at £1950. Other vehicles of interest included Land Rover 90 (2011) from an ex local farm selling at £9400, Polaris Ranger £6800, Bamford 3T dumper £2700, Suzuki Vitara £1750 and Land Rover Freelander at £1200.
A special mention must go to Mr T Carr, Brookhouse, Lancaster who kindly donated his AUSA task 4x4 vehicle with all proceeds going to charity which saw a final bid of £3000.
Trailers sold to £3200 for a twin axel dual purpose bale/tipping trailer with a 22ft livestock trailer £2300, Hudson 12ft livestock trailer £1850, small plant trailer £1600, 3T plant trailer £1600, small car trailer £550 and single axel tipping trailer £480.
Other items of interest included a JF Still trailed chopper at £4000, Abbey 2050 spreader £3800, Towable compressor £1650, Foster digger £1500, mounted chain harrows £920.
Seasonal livestock equipment attracted keen interest with 10ft sheep hurdles selling at £100 each, cattle crush £460, foot trimming crush £420, 8ft sheep hurdles £24 each, calving gate £320, lamb feeder £320, cow cubicles £22 each.
Well mounted items continue to sell to a premium regardless of the season with this sale seeing toppers, tedders, mowers and rollers all selling at strong prices.
This year has seen North West Auctions, sell over 14,000 lots of machinery at its popular monthly collective sale, with successful purchasing from throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland alongside several European customers.
North West Auctions will continue to host the monthly collective sale based at the NWA J36 Auction Centre, alongside offering specialist collective sales and farm dispersal sales throughout the year.
The next sale is scheduled to commence on Friday 7th January 2022 with delivery of the items strictly on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th January, please note there will be no inside small tools/items section this month.
