North West Auctions held its first online timed auction of Farm Vehicles, machinery and equipment in June, which saw items selling as far a field as Aberdeen, Bristol and Anglesey.
Well-maintained equipment sold to a premium with seasonal in high demand. A McHale Fusion 550 Baler achieved £8400, New Holland 387 Conventional Baler sold at £2900, a Browns Bale Sledge selling for £800. PZ Haybobs sold to £1000, a Lely Tedder sold for £3500, Taarup 3128 Mower Conditioner sold for £2500. A selection of trailers saw an 8-ton Marshall Silage Trailer, complete with grain sides, sell at £1620 with another at £1520.
Livestock equipment sold to £1640 for an Ifor Williams 10ft Trailer with a Graham Edwards 12ft Trailer selling for £1520. An IAE Cattle Crush sold for £920, Lamb weigh scales sold for £560 with a turnover crate at £450.
Vehicles attracted nationwide interest with a Landrover Defender 90 County (2008 reg) achieving £10,600 selling to a Lake District Farmer. A David Brown 996 (V reg) found a new home on a small holding in Aberdeenshire at £3950. A Ford Ranger Pick Up (08 reg) sold for £2700.
North West Auctions will be conducting the next online auction of Farm Machinery and equipment in July. Entries for the sale will be required by Wednesday 1st July with the auction commencing on Monday 6th July and concluding on Monday 13th July.
