Texels sold to £166 from BJ Bowness, Kendal with Beltexs selling to £151 from JA Chapman, Kendal who sold other pens to £148. Many of the best bred hoggs were regularly £140 to £150. A pen of Texel x Mules sold to £140 from B Clark, Grange Over Sands with Suffolks to £134 from JW Robinson & Son, Farleton. Mule hoggs saw a top of £133 from MA&JA Winn, Burneside with other pens to £131 from RH Thexton, Sedbergh. A full ring full sold to £129 from J&A Smales, Ingleton. Cheviots sold to £121 from LE Harrison, Barnard Castle who sold other opens to £118. Swaledales saw a top of £114 from LA&M Lambert, Carnforn. Rough Fells sold to £110 from GC&G Taylor, Crook with Herdwicks topping at £97 from the same good home.
