A feature of tonight’s sale was the annual prize show and sale of Beltex sheep on behalf of The Northern Beltex Club, which this year saw the pre-sale show kindly judged by local noted breeder Mr James Wannop, Heaton-with-Oxcliffe. The sale saw a top price of 1800gns achieved for the Champion selling to local enthusiast Miss Robyn Allen, Ings. Mr B Hall sold another shearling ram, Ainstable Fang, achieving 1100gns. Other pedigree Beltex rams regularly selling at 400-600gns.
