Longer term lambs were in tremendous demand as were kill type lambs. Rough Fells led the way with Messrs NC & S Dodd selling to £69 and Mr B J Bainbridge £60.

Messrs Brownrigg £53, JB Fothergill £52.50, TW & J Beaty £52 and JF Cook £50.
Store lambs (3516) sold to £87 and are £60.72.
There was a tremendous entry for NWA J36’s fortnightly sale with 3516 forward selling to an electric trade to level at £60.72.
Buyers from far and wide including the Midlands and the Welsh borders ensured trade was extremely fast from start to finish with the last pen as fast as the first and still more could have been very well sold.
Top lambs today were from Brian and Jayne Knowles, Selside who sold strong Mules to £87 and £85 with others at £82.
Texels (1746) averaged £64.35
Toppping the Texels was B Clark, High Fell Gate at £85.50 with others JT Procter, Flookburgh £84, GU & D Swarbrick £83, WDM Rigg, Kendal £83, I & P Brown, Ravenstonedale £80.50 and J Mark, Chaplehills £80.
Cheviots (211) averaged £54.32

Gritstones from M & G German sold to £58 and Herdwicks from R & BJ Cleasby sold is £55.
