A very large crowd was present at North West Auctions J36 for the first part dispersal sales of the Honeyhill and Forth House flocks on behalf of the Williams and Jaeban families.
Trade was very buoyant with superb quality lambs and youthful ewes particularly well sought after.
Leading the way at 1300gns from Honeyhill was a 2017 Milnbank Vorderman daughter out of a Loosebeare Star Striker ewe with a single tup lamb by Stonebridge Bare Boy selling to multiple buyer Ben Marsden Farms, Penistone, Sheffield.
Taking the next two top prices was Ibrhiem and Sandra Jaeban who sold two at 1100gns. Firstly a 2017 born Forth House Viva daughter out of a Knock Papoose Ewe and suckling a ewe lamb by the 70,000gns Teiglum Younggun. Successful bidder in this choice lot was Messrs RN Kirby & Son, Northallerton. At the same money, Messrs S & A Reed, Bishop Auckland purchased a Forth House Winchester daughter with twin Teiglum Younggun lambs at foot.
A trio of 900gn bids followed with Messrs Williams selling a much admired Duncryne bred 2013 Baltier Thunderbird daughter, suckling an outstanding Stonebridge Bare Boy ewe lamb. Successful purchaser of this lot was AR & BJ Thompson, Selside. Staying with Honeyhill the next at 900gns, was a 2017 Peacehay Wellington daughter with a single Bare Boy ewe lamb, this quality outfit, again, went home with Ben Marsden Farms. The final 900gn lot was from the Forth House pen, with a 2015 Forth House Unique daughter with a Milnbank Yellowstone tup lamb. The buyer of this ewe was Messrs J Garth & Son, Clapham, North Yorkshire.
Leading the dry gimmer hoggs was a Milnbank Yellowstone daughter out of a Forth House Unique dam at 800gns, this was the choice of Bambers Farm Ltd, Lancaster.
