J36 Crooklands Livestock Auction: Store Lambs Thursday 14th December

There was a smaller entry of Store Lambs forward with 1300 lambs going under the gavel, and an entry true to the season and a large proportion of lambs being vendors last draw. Meated Lambs were good to sell, topping at £72 a pen of Texels from JW Robinson & Son, Green Close with other Texels selling to £70 from T Sharp, Gateside Farm. Mule and Hill lambs were strong demand and easily sold, Mules topped at £69 for a pen of 15 from T Sharp with others to £63 E Parker, Marsh House Farm. Cheviots topped at £62 JR Handley, School House and Swaledale lambs topped at £46 from N Burton, Low Haygarth Farm.

The next sale of Store Lambs will be on Thursday 4th January 2018.
