Commencement of Breeding Stock Sales
We are very pleased to announce that the Livestock Auctioneers Association & DEFRA have now extended the rules, allowing us to have live ring sales of breeding stock commencing from Monday 27th April 2020.
The following rules will apply to ALL sales at both J36 Rural Auction Centre & Lancaster Auction Mart
- All stock will be on a ‘Drop & Go’ policy
- All vendors to remain their vehicles – paperwork will be collected by a member of staff
- Only buyers are permitted to enter the market
- All buyers must pre-register with the office prior to arrival
- All buyers MUST adhere to the 2m social distancing rules & make use of the hand washing facilities
- Shows are NOT permitted
- Only ONE buyer per household
- Buyers to sanitise prior to entering the office and on exit

11am – Prime Lambs, Prime Hoggs & Cast Sheep
All stock to be in the market by 10.30am
Friday 1st May
10.15am – Calves & Stirks
10.15am – Cast/OTM Cattle
11am – Store Cattle
All stock to be in the market by 10am
J36 Rural Auction Centre
Tuesday 28th April
10.30am – Prime & Cast Pigs
11am – Sheep & Lambs
All stock to be pre-entered by 2pm Monday 27th April
Buyers must also pre-register by 2pm Monday 27th April
1pm – Spring Lambs, Prime Hoggs & Cast Sheep
All stock to be in by 11am
Thursday 30th April
10.15am – Calves & Stirks
10.30am – Cast/OTM Cattle – Please note NO TB Restricted Cattle
11am – Store Cattle
All stock to be in by 10am
We will announce our sales schedule on a week by week basis, please refer to our website for up to date information
