Quality fresh milk was in fantastic demand at North West Auctions, Lancaster Monthly Catalogued Show and Sale of Dairy Cattle.
Taking the top price at £2600 was the Reserve Champion Heifer from Messrs Drinkall Bros, Over Wyresdale, Lancaster selling a superb member of The Pennine Poppy family and sired by BERTAIOLA MINCO. Successful bidder this time was Dyfig Davies, Camarthan who also purchased two others at £2100, and £2000 from Messrs C & AJ Woodhouse, Millom and Enchanted Holsteins respectively.

Leading the way from Enchanted was a £2250 call from Messrs Forshaw & Sons this one by Stantons Close Up and out of Enchanted Stanley Cup Kim from 12 generations of VG or Excellent.

Enjoying a splendid day was Messrs H & SD Cornthwaite & Son, Garstang who with their lead heifer took Champion and sold to £2450 to show judge Brian Blezard, Preston this one a daughter Of Mozarerlla and from the Kirkwood Isabel family. Others from the same team sold at £2250 to Messrs Forshaw and £2100 to Messrs Wallbank.
Messrs H. Wright & Son sold a lovely SCIENTIFIC B. DEFIANT Daughter at £2400 to Mr R Cowgill and a second calved cow at £2100 to Messrs J.R Smith & Sons.

Back in the action at over the £2000 mark who Messrs Drinkall at £2150 and £2050 Messrs AB & J Parkinson £2050. The Inman Family £2000 and £2050 Messrs FG & MR Martin & Son at £2050. Messrs G & AE Smith at £2050 who also led the cows selling a tremendous 2nd calver ALANDREW FEVER ORALIE at £2400 to Messrs Smallthwaite Farm, Penrith.
