Bybeck Stud Dispersal tops at 4700gns, as a pony sells to Her Majesty the Queen.

North West Auctions held the dispersal sale of the Bybeck Stud of fell ponies on behalf of Colin and Heather Roberts and Family. This much anticipated sale had attracted a huge amount of attention from buyers and prospective buyers from nationwide. A busy auction was met by eager bidding from the ring side, as well as internet and phone bidding.
Grabbing the headlines at 4700gns was the much-admired 2018 born black filly, Bybeck Violet sired by Wellbrow Lancashire Lad who has done a great job for this herd, after much anticipated bidding this beautiful pony found her new home with Messrs Wenman. The next call up was 4000gns for Bybeck Verity, this bay filly 2018 born was sired by Murthwaite Cappy Lad and even offered a little surprise, an unexpected colt foal which found its new home with Zoe Bradley in Harrogate. The next leading price was another mare and foal, Bybeck Lisa the 2010 born grey mare sired by Murthwaite Timothy who had a very striking grey colt foal at foot, Bybeck Alonso that went on to sell for 3300gns.
At 3200gns was Bybeck Pandora, 2014 born, black mare sired by Bybeck Kingfisher and out of Bybeck Gracie who had some great progeny within the sale. Also at 3200gns was Bybeck Lucy Too the 2016 born, much admired, quality young mare with a filly foal, Bybeck Amelia at foot.
Dalewin Vespa the grey licenced stallion, born in 2018 and full of potential met plenty of interest and went on to sell for 3200gns. Three ponies achieved the 3000gns mark, first was Bybeck Stella, the 2016 black mare, once again sired by Wellbrow Lancashire Lad with the dam side full of Murthwaite breeding and with a lovely traditional filly foal at foot, Bybeck Agnus who was purchased by Hannah-Mary Stewart, Millness. Also, at 3000gns was Bybeck Tansy, a bay filly with great show prospects, sired by Murthwaite Cappy Lad. One of the highlights of the day was selling Bybeck Tiffany Too, once again sired by Wellbrow Lancashire Lad, whom was purchased by Terry Pendry on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen. All mares with foals averaged £2443, with the remaining mares and fillies averaging £2150.
We would just like to wish all purchasers all the best with their new ponies and thank the Roberts Family, who we wish all the best for the future.
