Kendal Auction

Kendal Auction Mart is situated in the market town of Kendal, known as 'the gateway to the English Lakes' with excellent transport links to the rest of the country via the M6. We attract high quality stock from the Lake District National Park and from the Yorkshire Dales. Our breeding stock has the best reputation in the country because our farmers take such pride in their stock and we are 'the' market for the Rough Fell Sheep Breeders’ Association Sales.  We are also host to one of the North of England Mule Sheep Association sales held annually.

We have fortnightly sales of cast and feeding cows, store and breeding cattle and store lambs on Thursdays and weekly sales on Tuesdays of rearing calves, prime hoggs and cast ewes.  Every fortnight on a Tuesday we sell Dairy cattle.  We have also introduced a very popular and well-supported monthly sale of pigs.  Our store cattle at Kendal are mainly beef-bred and under 15 months old.

Kendal is a popular and well-supported market and the company is finalising plans to see the relocation from its present cramped town-centre site to a state-of-the-art auction centre even closer to the M6.  Look at our Blog page for all the latest on our bid to relocate.
