Exhibition Hall and Meeting Rooms Manager – Full time
Assistant to the Exhibition Hall Manager – flexible hours minimum 21 hours per week
The new Exhibition Hall at J36 Rural Auction Centre opened in February 2018 to great acclaim and is fast becoming the premier meeting and exhibition venue in the northwest.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated sales-led manager with hospitality experience, drive and connections to manage this exciting division of our business and to grow the bookings for the meeting rooms and exhibition hall spaces. This new role presents an opportunity to lead the growth of this business and to share in its success. You will be responsible for the marketing of the meeting room suites and Exhibition Hall through the use of social media, attendance at networking meetings, face to face sales appointments to attract new business and by maintaining the very high levels of repeat bookings currently experienced. Some accounts experience would be useful as you will be costing and invoicing the events and reporting to your manager against budgets.
As well as this new Manager’s role we are looking for an Assistant to the Manager. This role provides an opportunity to develop skills on the whole range of this hospitality business from initial enquiry right through to successful event. No previous experience necessary as full training will be given but we are looking for someone with great personality and customer service skills and flexibility with working hours.
Both roles will require some flexibility in working hours throughout the week depending on each event and booking including some very occasional evening and weekend hours.
