Lancaster Auction Mart

Lancaster Auction Mart has been providing an excellent service to its customers, both buyers and sellers, for well over 100 years, and moved to its current premises in the 1960s. Our catchment area includes the Fylde, Morecambe Bay and the Trough of Bowland.

We are ‘the’ market for the Lancashire Holstein Dairy Club Show and Sale and can handle up to 1,500 cattle. We also hold a dedicated slaughter market weekly.

We have regular sales of cast cows, rearing calves, dairy, store and breeding cattle and store and breeding sheep, every Friday and our dedicated slaughter market every Monday for prime hoggs, prime bulls and clean cattle. Our store cattle at Lancaster are mainly 20 months or over and we hold monthly sales of pedigree Friesian dairy cattle. Sunday car boot sales also take place at the Auction Mart throughout the year.
