North West Auctions is proud to be the leading livestock operator in the North West with two strategically-placed sites in Lancaster and Kendal. Our markets are true farmers’ markets, with high quality stock coming direct from local farmers. We have an extremely experienced team – all the auctioneers have over 20 years’ in the business and a wide range of specialisms (prime stock, dairy and breeding stock, store stock) and all our staff have been with us over 15 years – running markets with an excellent name nationally. Buyers come regularly from as far afield as the north of Scotland and south Devon.

Stock bought at these two markets has a reputation for doing well. Business has been booming since the two markets merged in April 2005 and throughput at Kendal alone is up by 40 per cent. Each market can handle up to 10,000 sheep and at least 1,000 cattle, all under cover on hardstanding.

We also hold collective machinery sales on the last Wednesday of every month, alternating between the Kendal and Lancaster markets, and calf collections fortnightly.
