NWA – Lancaster had forward 951 prime lambs and 50 cast sheep.
Prime lambs sold to £87, (twice), firstly for 4, 44kg Texels from J A & V M Lamb,
Conder Green Farm, Conder Green, secondly for a 49kg Beltex from T R Prickett,
Hutton Roof Hall, Hutton Roof.
Top price per kilo for prime lambs was 198p also consigned by J A & V M Lamb.
Prime lambs avg 166.46p.
Lambs that were fleshy and shapey sold away to a good trade, whilst lambs that
lacked quality and meat were definitely easier.

Cast ewes and rams
Top price per head for ewes was £70 for Texels consigned by G A Haston & Son,
Lane House, Galgate.
