A smaller show of Dairy Cattle forward this morning were met by a full ringside of local and travelled buyers.

The pre-sale show was judged by Jack Raby of Preesall, who awarded the champion rosette to the first place cow, Lot 23, Kirkwood Goldenboy Ann, from Henry & Mark Cornthwaite, Garstang. As well as the pedigree Holsteins, a pair of Montbelliarde second calvers from GA Haston & Son, realised £1050 & £1020.

The best pair of heifers was awarded to J Burrow & Son, with Lots 3 & 4, winning the Cornthwaite Cup, these realised £1720 & £1800 respectively.
