Prime Lambs to £100 & 241p/kg

NWA Lancaster saw over 1000 prime lambs sell to a market average of 186p/kg with best continentals over £2p/kg topping at 241p/kg (£100) from ME Wannop & Sons Ltd from Morecambe purchased by David Stamper of Preston with others at £100 from FA Nowell & Ptns. Hill Bred lambs now coming forward with increasing numbers each week with Mules to £82 from Drinkall Bros. and 186p/kg from & E Harrison.

Cast sheep peaked at £100 for Texels from JH Gardner with cast rams to £102 for Charolais from PW & DW Roskell.

Prime bulls reached 213p/kg (£1225) for best Limousin cross from P Cummings purchased by Bowland Foods. First cross bulls topped at 194p/kg (£1137) for British Blue cross from JS & KM Wilson and Son. Dairy bulls peaked at 186p/kg (£1051) from GA Haston & Son.
