A competitive ringside of buyers competed for all cattle with the top 10 sold averaging £2180.

Judging this month was ably conducted by Daniel Bargh (Woodclose) who was presented with large entries for all 4 classes.

The champion rosette was awarded to Kirkwood Finest Flora from H & SD Cornthwaite, bred from 4 Gens VG/EX and being 23 days calved she later sold to ME Wannop & Sons for £2450. Reserve Champion was Brundrigg Ashlar Yvonne 12 from JN & DJ Bowes, bred from a dam family containing an EX90 LP100 cow, she sold for £2050 purchased by D Jolley, Staffordshire. The top priced heifer achieved £2600 after sprinted bidding was knocked down to RT Halhead, Cockerham consigned by H & SD Cornthwaite.

First prize cow from J & M Sanderson sold for £2100 and was purchased by C Dent, Penrith.
