Prime Lambs
For those vendors who braved the elements they were all well rewarded. A full ringside of buyers ensured all classes of lambs and cast sheep met a tremendous trade. Lambs averaged 198.63p/kg topping at 247.20p/kg for a pen of Texel lambs from Mr L Butcher of Barrow-in-Furness with a top price of £105 per head for a pen of Continental lambs from RT & J Gorst of Killington.

Cast Seep also met a strong demand with all classes seeing a rise on the week.
