Kendal Second Suckler Sale - a real trade!

Judge - Geoff Birkbeck and Vendor Stephen Benson with the Champion Suckler Limousin Bullock

North West Auctions Kendal held their second Autumn Prize Show & Sale of 385 Suckled Calves, Store Cattle and Cast Cows. Suckler judging was in the very capable hands of Mr Geoff Birkbeck of Soulby.

Championship honours were awarded to Stephen Benson, Horrace Farm for an excellent Lim suckler bullock which went on to make £745. The first prize heifer was a British Blue from R & B Parker of High Hall Beck which sold for £680. The top priced suckler overall was produced by T W & C S Shepherd of Nook Farm which was a sweet Blonde heifer making £770

All sucklers were a real trade with more buyers looking for cattle late in the season and a few fresh faces around the ring. Store cattle were also good to sell and more were needed on the day.
