Kendal Auction
Kendal Auction Mart has now relocated to J36 Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands at 'the gateway to the English Lakes' with excellent transport links to the rest of the country via the M6 being just one minute away
We attract high quality stock from the Lake District National Park and from the Yorkshire Dales. Our breeding stock has the best reputation in the country because our farmers take such pride in their stock and we are 'the' market for the Rough Fell Sheep Breeders’ Association Sales. We are also host to one of the North of England Mule Sheep Association sales held annually.
We have fortnightly sales of calves and dairy cattle, cast and feeding cows, store and breeding cattle and store lambs on Thursdays and weekly sales on Tuesdays of prime lambs/hoggs and cast ewes. We have also introduced a very popular and well-supported monthly sale of pigs on a Tuesday. Our store cattle at Kendal are mainly beef-bred and under 15 months old although larger cattle are well sought after by our full ringside of buyers.
Our new site is proving to be very successful not only for the vendors who can travel with ease to the out-of-town site, but also with our buyers who find the access immediately off the M6 motorway and A65/A590 corridor to the Lakes and Yorkshire dales a real bonus.
